What other animal is actually driven by the desire to make a diffence? With all the useless thinking I spend my time doing, one thing I’m searching for is what sets us different from them, the animals. Maybe that’s where happiness is to be found?

Yesterday I started quoting one of my favorite songs by Bob Dylan: The Times They Are A-changin’. Since it’s filled with great lines I’ve prepared a few short quotes to be posted over the next few days. I hope they can bring some wisdom from the past about the ever-changing times we live in. “Come writers and critics Who prophesize with your pen And keep your eyes wide The...

” You better start swimming   Or you’ll sink like a stone   For the times they are a-changin’ “ I’m off from watching Pres. Obama’s State of the Union Address of the year, and I’m astonished. That man knows how to make a speech! His carisma and passion is one I wish our business lecturer would hold, very inspiring. It’s exciting to get a little bit...

Joshua Topolsky: Dear Michael Arrington →
Nothing gets you up in the morning like a little web-drama. I usually only publish other people posts over at my reblogged page, but I feel that this one requires a bit more attention. For some time now, a onesided flamewar has been ongoing between two tech blogs in the AOL-sphere. The up-sides of math exam Having had a math exam in linear algebra and analysis today, it got me thinking: If f(x) is a continuous function defined on an interval, then F’(x)=f(x), right? (I really wouldn’t have minded proving that, as it’s been on like 95% of the previous exams, damnit!) Furthermore, I thought, 5 hours straight of mathematics really isn’t all that bad....

I just had the most amazing evening with my dear friends Amiir and Zach. Just chilling, listening to all kinds of music - from mcr to chapel - while discussing a philosophical matter or two. This is what I’ll miss the most when I go back to my reality, and them to theirs: Calm nights when you can say whatever’s on your mind, and simply share each other’s presence. Tomorrow is our last day...

In the Jungle: Rocket Science →
in-the-jungle: So tomorrow we launch a rocket. Which means I’ll be retumbling a post from Carl about it eventually. Because I’m lazy and he’s the one doing all the video/camera work. So: Tumbling: the act of posting something on tumblr — similar to tweeting & facebooking. Sadly we will be heading back…
